Who We Are
We are a welcoming English language academy with friendly and helpful teachers and staff.
We first opened as Celtic School in 2004 and have been welcoming students from all over the world since then. This means we have a lot of expertise in providing students with a quality study experiences. Our excellent core teaching team is complemented by our academic and office support teams. These teams ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our friendly and welcoming English academy.

Our Journey Begins
We first opened as Celtic School in 2004 and our current CEO, Shoko, was one of our first students! We first became accredited by the British Council in 2008. We finished the decade by opening our main building on Park Grove in 2009.

New Decade New Courses
Between 2010 and 2014, we ran our first successful Junior Summer Programme in Cardiff Bay, launched our Teacher Development Course and opened our second building on Park Grove. In 2014, our academy exceeded expectations in an inspection by ISI.

A New Name
We said "goodbye" to Celtic School and "hello" to Celtic English Academy as we changed our name. Our student numbers continued to increase so we opened our third building. At the end of the year, our Business English Courses started.

A New Partnership and a New Programme
In 2016, we proudly became a partner with Sentio and started offering the Global Competence Certificate (GCC) Programme. We also received strengths in 6 sections of our British Council inspection.

An Exciting Year
We welcomed over 1,000 students from over 50 different countries and successfully delivered one of our innovative CLIL workshops for the first time. In November, we were inspected by IALC and gained IALC accreditation the following year.

A Busy Year
We refurbished six classrooms, our two student lounges as well as our reception area to a very high standard. We also became an exam centre for OET and ran our first Junior Summer Programme in North Wales, welcoming 60 younger learners there.
