From healthy salads to a burger and fries, there are plenty of meal options to choose from. Whenever you feel hungry, before or after your class, why not try one of the places around the school?
Pen & Wig
Just across the road from the Academy, Pen & Wig is a popular choice for many of our students. This is a very lively pub with a large beer garden that offers a wide range of food and drinks to suit all tastes.
Despite the name, this isn’t a place that you will want to rush away from. This coffee bar provides a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with deli style food and premium roasted coffee. So if you want a bite to eat or a coffee on the go, check this place out.
Magic Wrap
Only a 5-minute walk from the Academy, the Magic Wrap is a healthy and affordable option for those who prefer a more nutritious snack. Magic Wraps consist of a Mediterranean flavoured flatbread with a houmous or mint yogurt base then, you can choose your salad & main filling, as well as any extras. Try it out!
The Taf
The Taf pub, located in the student union uses local Welsh suppliers wherever possible and the delicious menu is largely homemade. Choose from breakfasts, mighty melts, main meals, homemade pizzas, sharers, jacket potatoes, light bites, club sandwiches and desserts.
Just a short walk from the Academy towards Queen street, you will find an independent Bistro & Coffee shop, serving “illy” coffee, salads, sandwiches as well as a full breakfast menu. They also offer vegan options and a market fresh counter full of fresh vegetables. Visit them and check it out for yourself.
Queen Street
If you are looking for more options, try Queen Street. There is a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes – so you won’t be disappointed.
So, you don’t need to ponder over where to eat any longer. Check out our students recommendations.
