The Student Voice is a glance into the experiences of students from all over the world who have studied with us at Celtic English Academy, here in Cardiff. These testimonials are a first-hand reflection of the impressions left on each student from their time at our academy in the capital city of Wales.

Here is what Sukhita had to say about her experience:

Sukhita has been studying at Celtic English Academy for 5 months. During this time, she was able to explore the city and some parts of the UK, like Stonehenge!  

She was really happy to discover Cardiff, saying there is no pressure on life in the city. She said: “there is not much congestion or traffic jam!”

Also she thinks Cardiff is a great, safe and low- cost city. “People are very helpful and friendly. The cost of living is really cheap – I could save my money!” she says.

She stayed in homestay while studying English at Celtic English Academy and was comfortable with day to day life. “I felt safe and secure walking to the school and to my host family. It is easy to travel by bus or foot.” She also likes the green spaces in Cardiff, especially Bute Park by Cardiff Castle.

She has enjoyed the shopping in Cardiff city centre, going to the cinema with friends and she joined the Pure Gym which she recommends because it is a good price and you can have a monthly contract. 

Lastly, she said a key point about Cardiff is it’s a city with less Thai people than other study destinations like Brighton, London or Oxford.

She has been a hard-working student and thanks to studying Celtic’s IELTS Preparation Course has passed her IELTS exam with the required score she needs for her aim to study a masters in Risk Management at a UK university.
