After the civil war in Somalia which turned the whole country into turmoil, I fled from my home country to the UK. Before I came to the UK, I had studied Accounting and Finance so, my main aim in coming to the UK was to live a safe place and get a better life for both myself and my family.

I started studying IELTS lunch time classes at Celtic English Academy around 6 months ago. I was made welcome and felt the atmosphere was like a family. The staff were very accommodating and created a timetable for me that suited my work commitments.

Although I only attended the lunch time IELTS class, we still managed to cover a lot within that time. I felt ready to take the examination.

I would like to highlight the teaching quality of the classes that I attended was exceptional and all staff and teachers were very supportive and professional. I have deepest gratitude for April Pugh and the other outstanding teachers at the school such as Rob Hutton, Fraser Jowett and Paul Cousins.
