Meet the Ladies Only Teachers at Celtic English Academy

We at Celtic English Academy fully support the United Nation’s International Day of the Girl which aims to help girls achieve their dreams through education. With this in mind, we provide a secure Ladies-only building where we conduct top class English courses. We have also dedicated female teachers to help our ladies develop their English language skills, in a comfortable environment, so that they can access greater opportunities at home and abroad.  So who are our fantastic teachers?

How long have you been teaching Ladies Only classes?

I first started teaching English in 2007 to mixed classes, but I have been teaching Ladies-only classes since 2013.

What do you enjoy about teaching Ladies-only classes?

I really enjoy watching a real bond develop between the female students, especially when they are from different countries for instance Saudi Arabia and Japan.

What is your most memorable moment while teaching Ladies-only classes?

Without a doubt, seeing a lady progress from elementary level to upper intermediate level within a year has been my most memorable moment. Not only did her language develop but also her self-confidence went from strength to strength.

How long have you been teaching Ladies-only classes?

I was given a Ladies Only class when I joined Celtic English Academy a few years ago.

What do you enjoy about teaching Ladies-only classes?

I value the close relationship that develops between student and teacher in the ladies’ classes. Through telling anecdotes about our personal experiences and offering advice to one another the ladies’ English skills improve well.

What is your most memorable moment while teaching Ladies-only classes?

There are lots of moments which I’ll never forget, but perhaps the most moving was last Christmas when one of my ladies went to a lot of effort to write me a letter explaining how much she had enjoyed my classes and how much she had learnt both in terms of English language and the culture itself.

How long have you been teaching Ladies-only classes?

I first experienced teaching in a ladies only environment in 2011.

What do you enjoy about teaching Ladies-only classes?

It is lovely to work in such a supportive atmosphere; rather than trying to compete with one another, I have found that the ladies actively enjoy helping one another and encourage each other to excel.

What is your most memorable moment while teaching Ladies-only classes?

What springs to mind is our coffee morning which we held at school recently. It was a pleasure to see all the ladies together socialising in English, not only Arabic but also Japanese, Spanish, Korean and French.

How long have you been teaching Ladies-only classes?

I have been teaching the Ladies only classes on and off for the past few months. I have worked in various schools around the UK and Spain, but Celtic English Academy is the only school I know of which provides this service for ladies.

What do you enjoy about teaching Ladies-only classes?

The dynamic in class is great perhaps because the class sizes are generally smaller it is very relaxed and friendly.

What is your most memorable moment while teaching Ladies-only classes?

It was the final day of term and I brought in my guitar and the ladies made traditional food from their countries. We played games, learnt English songs and celebrated one another’s cultures.
