Mandela Day with a twist at Celtic

18th July 2017

As some of you may be aware, today is Nelson Madela day. Nelson Mandela dedicated 67 years of his life to public service and to mark the day, the Nelson Mandela Foundation asks people to dedicate 67 minutes to doing good deeds.

As we have always felt quite passionately at Celtic about giving back to the community (fundraising for Rwanda, sponsoring refugees) we would like to support this campaign but with a twist. We would like to invite staff and students to collectively do 67 good deeds over the course of the next two weeks.

The deeds could be anything:

  • Donating £1 to charity
  • Helping a classmate with something they don’t understand
  • Bringing some food in to give to Cardiff Foodbank (You can leave the food in a box in reception)
  • Bringing in a cake
  • Just doing something nice

So please, do a good deed and let us know about it. Don’t forget to share your story on Facebook, Twitter or email Edyta ([email protected]
