English Language Skills (Part-time elective)
Our English Language Skills courses are designed to meet the needs of learners in a variety of English language settings. Study a range of different topics to help practise and improve your level of English.
Who is the English Language Skills course for?
English Language Skills could be a great option if you would like to:
- Improve your day-to-day use of English for educational, professional or personal reasons.
- Increase your range of grammar and vocabulary as well as your ability to communicate in English.
- Learn more about UK culture and the culture of other societies.
Course Content
Each week you will study a different topic area and take part in activities designed to expand your range of vocabulary and communicate more effectively. The topics you will study will depend on your level but could range from fashion to the environment. This programme mainly focusses on reading, writing, speaking and listening but some lessons will also focus on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
This is a Part-time elective. What does it mean?

Our English Language Skills courses run at 6 different levels, from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1), so it’s no problem if you are just starting to learn English or if you are looking to perfect your English skills.
Intended learning outcomes: English Language Skills
By the end of your course, you should have:
- An extended range of vocabulary and grammar
- Improved levels of fluency and confidence
- The ability to communicate with improved accuracy and pronunciation
- Improved speaking, reading, listening and writing skills and
