A great summertime add-on if you would like to improve your English skills for the world of tourism, travel and hospitality.

These days many countries host international events. It can be a great experience to volunteer or work at one of these events. Many of these events require their employees and volunteers to speak English. Our English for Travel and Tourism course could be useful for anyone who would like to work or volunteer at one of these events and needs to improve their level of English.

This course could be ideal if you:

  • Would like to work, or already work, in a sector related to tourism such as Tourism Management or Hospitality.
  • Want to feel more confident using English while you travel, live, volunteer or work abroad.

Course Content

You will follow an integrated skills course with an emphasis on reading, listening and speaking. There will be a focus on interactive tasks such as role plays. You will also study vocabulary which is useful in the world of tourism. Lessons are based around tourism-related topics. These topics could include how to:

  • Describe traditional dishes and food or a tourist attraction
  • Help visitors to make booking or travel arrangements
  • Give a guided tour.
